Hamilton Cams came about after I couldn’t find better products to solve some of the problems I was having with my Cummins. Everybody I talked to had no answers and was not willing to do any custom components for me. At the time, there was a lot of mis-information in the aftermarket and the only thing available was modified factory components.
I started with some modest grinds, added valve springs, pushrods for the 24 valve Cummins. Next we tackled the valvetrain of the 12v with our retainer, lock and spring package. A total redesign of the 5.9l and 6.7l camshaft core was next. This solved a lot of the breakage associated with high rpm p-pumped trucks and lobe wear problems due to today’s low zinc oils.
We are currently waiting on our new Duramax , 6.0l and 7.3l Powerstroke valve springs and pushrods as well as our new 12v cylinder head with greatly improved port design.
Check back often, as we are constantly adding new part numbers and new products. We are looking forward to 2010 and releasing our new products.
If there is something that you need but don’t see on the market, feel free to let us know, as long as it doesn’t have spark plugs.
