Hamilton Cams came about after I couldn’t find better products to solve some of the problems I was having with my Cummins. Everybody I talked to had no answers and was not willing to do any custom components for me. At the time, there was a lot of mis-information in the aftermarket and the only thing available was modified factory components.
I started with some modest grinds, added valve springs, pushrods for the 24 valve Cummins. Next we tackled the valvetrain of the 12v with our retainer, lock and spring package. A total redesign of the 5.9l and 6.7l camshaft core was next. This solved a lot of the breakage associated with high rpm p-pumped trucks and lobe wear problems due to today’s low zinc oils.
We are currently waiting on our new Duramax , 6.0l and 7.3l Powerstroke valve springs and pushrods as well as our new 12v cylinder head with greatly improved port design.
