These 1.45-inch DLC-coated steel tappets are intended for high-RPM builds using 110 lb or heavier valve springs. Choose them as part of a matched camshaft and spring combination; contact us if you need help confirming the setup.
Our 110 lb seat-pressure springs are for 24-valve Cummins competition builds running above 4,500 RPM. They are not recommended for daily drivers. A steel cam and steel tappets are recommended for this combination.
Our 188/220 cast cam is intended for daily-driver and light-competition Cummins builds, with a listed operating range of 1,700–4,500 RPM. Check the piston-to-valve clearance requirements below before choosing this grind.
