PRODUCT USE, FITMENT & INSTALLATION TERMS

These terms apply to products purchased from Hamilton Cams. By purchasing, installing, or using a product, the customer acknowledges the responsibilities and limitations described below.

1. PRODUCT SELECTION AND CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY

Automotive and performance parts must be properly selected, installed, and used.

The customer is responsible for confirming that each product is correct for the vehicle, engine, configuration, intended use, and application before purchase and before installation.

Hamilton Cams may provide recommendations based on information supplied by the customer. Final responsibility for product selection, fitment verification, installation, and use remains with the customer and the installer.

2. FITMENT AND COMPATIBILITY

Fitment information is provided as a guide.

Actual compatibility may vary because of:

• Engine configuration
• Vehicle modifications
• Production changes
• Prior repairs
• Aftermarket components
• Machining or engine modifications
• Incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer
• Differences between model years, engine families, and production dates

Customers and installers must verify compatibility, dimensions, clearances, specifications, and part numbers before installation.

3. INSPECTION BEFORE INSTALLATION

Every product must be inspected before installation.

The customer or installer should confirm that the product:

• Matches the order
• Is complete
• Is free from visible damage
• Is suitable for the intended application
• Meets the required measurements and specifications
• Includes all required components and instructions

If a product appears incorrect, damaged, incomplete, or questionable, installation must stop immediately and Hamilton Cams must be contacted.

Installing a product may limit or eliminate return, refund, or warranty options.

4. PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION RECOMMENDED

Many Hamilton Cams products require mechanical knowledge, specialized tools, accurate measurements, proper clearances, and correct installation procedures.

Professional installation by a qualified technician is strongly recommended.

The installer is responsible for following all applicable instructions, specifications, torque procedures, lubrication requirements, break-in procedures, and accepted mechanical practices.

5. INSTALLATION AND ENGINE RESPONSIBILITY

Improper installation or engine conditions may cause product failure, engine damage, or vehicle damage.

Examples include:

• Incorrect valve lash
• Improper clearances
• Incorrect torque
• Improper lubrication
• Oil starvation
• Incorrect break-in
• Contamination
• Debris in the engine
• Incorrect tuning
• Valve-to-piston contact
• Coil bind
• Retainer-to-seal contact
• Improper spring pressure
• Incorrect pushrod length
• Improper cam timing
• Failure of another engine component
• Pre-existing engine damage
• Use outside the intended application

Hamilton Cams is not responsible for damage caused by improper installation, improper maintenance, incorrect application, abuse, contamination, engine failure, or failure of a related component.

6. PERFORMANCE AND RACING PRODUCTS

Some products may be intended for performance, competition, racing, off-road, or specialty use.

Performance modifications can place additional stress on the engine, drivetrain, emissions systems, and other vehicle components.

The customer accepts responsibility for determining whether a product is appropriate for the vehicle and intended use.

7. LEGAL AND EMISSIONS COMPLIANCE

The customer is responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, provincial, and local laws, including emissions laws, safety requirements, inspection rules, and vehicle-use restrictions.

The customer must not install or use a product in a manner prohibited by applicable law.

8. NO GUARANTEE OF SPECIFIC RESULTS

Unless explicitly stated in writing, Hamilton Cams does not guarantee a specific:

• Horsepower increase
• Torque increase
• Fuel-economy improvement
• Sound
• Idle quality
• Drivability result
• Emissions result
• Track time
• Towing result
• Engine-life result
• Overall performance result

Results may vary based on the engine combination, vehicle configuration, tuning, fuel, supporting modifications, installation quality, operating conditions, and maintenance.

9. LABOR AND RELATED COSTS

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hamilton Cams is not responsible for labor charges, diagnostic costs, removal or reinstallation costs, towing, rental vehicles, vehicle downtime, lost income, lost profits, or other incidental or consequential costs unless expressly agreed to in writing.

10. STOP-USE REQUIREMENT

If a product appears damaged, operates abnormally, produces unusual noise, causes an unexpected condition, or may be contributing to an engine problem, use of the vehicle or engine should stop immediately.

Continued operation after a warning sign may cause additional damage and may affect available warranty or return remedies.

11. TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Technical information provided by Hamilton Cams is based on the information available at the time and the facts supplied by the customer.

Technical guidance does not replace inspection, measurement, diagnosis, or professional judgment by a qualified installer.

12. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By purchasing, installing, or using a Hamilton Cams product, the customer confirms that they have reviewed and accepted these Product Use, Fitment & Installation Terms, together with the applicable return policy and warranty terms.

These terms apply to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law and do not eliminate any non-waivable legal rights.
