12-valve engines

The 155 lb beehive springs include retainers and locks and are listed for moderate cams and stock-size valves. For larger valves, more lift or operation above 4,500 RPM, review the dual spring kit. Its installed height and valve-stem seal setup need particular attention.

24-valve engines

The 103 lb springs are listed for builds up to 4,500 RPM; tool steel retainers are sold separately. The 110 lb competition springs are intended for higher-RPM use and are not recommended for daily drivers. Hamilton recommends a steel cam and steel tappets for that combination.

Use the exact product’s guidance for installed height, cam lift and valve size. If you are running a conversion kit, follow that kit’s spring requirements before selecting an upgrade. Send us your engine and cam details if the combination is unclear.
